Veronica Hernandez has been a very busy woman since the launch of our new Tumblr website Streetsblog Lite. If you haven’t been over to Streetsblog Lite today, here’s what you’re missing:
- Part II of our photo contest. Voting continues through tomorrow as a picture of some “bus bench greenery” by Asuka Hisa goes up against a little photoshop fun mocking the anti-subway lawn signs in Beverly Hills. BTW, I’m voting for the benches.
- Today’s “quote of the day.” Veronica combs through recent comments and posts her favorite. Today’s comes from last week’s story about urban gardening in South L.A.
- Some images from yesterday’s story on last weekend’s Yo Watts ride.
- For anyone that doesn’t understand why so many people are opposed to fracking, an image and a video shows show the HOT impact fracking has on tap water.
We’re still working out some bugs and figuring out how Streetsblog-Lite and Los Angeles Streetsblog are going to work together, but as all the details are ironed out check out both sites everyday for original content.
