  • Unfortunately the Cornfield Arroyo Seco plan has such crazy requirements with respect to use, FAR, density, etc., that no one’s been able to take advantage of the zero parking minimum aspect of it. :(

    Well… the Santa Monica plan has some “crazy requirement” – and in the CASP, Mott Smith did a “L.A. Prep” commercial kitchen project that took advantage of low parking miniums (though it doesn’t have zero parking)

  • There are a few projects that work in CASP, but if you’re trying to do housing you’re out of luck. And the idea that we don’t want any significant amount of housing in that entire area is a joke (and defeats the whole purpose of dropping parking requirements because then it’s not zero parking for residential, since you can’t do residential).
