USC Professor
Manuel Pastor will present an overview of toxic air emissions and
exposure in LA neighborhoods.  Community members from East Los Angeles
and Wilmington will testify about environmental health conditions in
their neighborhoods, as well as describe a recent "Ground Truthing"
effort in which residents surveyed and mapped the industrial and
transportation-related hazards in specific areas.  Representatives from
Communities for a Better Environment and Eastyard Communities for
Environmental Justice will share some policy recommendations from the
CI Work Group with the Commissioners and Planning staff.
