Call for Volunteers: We Need Your Help for ARTCRANK at Orange 20

Support Streetsblog by joining us for the ARTCRANK poster and art show at Orange 20 on December 4.

As many of you know, ARTCRANK, a party, poster show and sale and art exhibit at Orange 20 Bicycles will benefit Los Angeles Streetsblog. A full list of the event details can be found after the jump.

However, to help the ARTCRANK team pull off the event, we need your help. We don't often ask for volunteers, but if you want to help us meet our $10,000 fundraising goal and can't afford a donation, this is a great way to help.

We could use 6 people 4:30-8 and 6 people 7:45-11:30. All volunteers get the promise of a good time, beer, and a t-shirt in addition to my eternal thanks. If you're interested in volunteering, email damien at streetsblog dot org.

ARTCRANK LAX will feature hand-made, bike-inspired posters created by Los Angeles artists. Limited edition, signed and numbered copies of all posters will be available for $40 each.

UPDATE: Los Angeles, the wait is over. ARTCRANK is taking the City of Angels by storm on Saturday, December 8. And we’re doing it at the newly-minted Best Bike Shop in L.A. — Orange 20 Bikes. We’ll be packing the house with bike-inspired poster created by local artists and more fun than would be allowable by law anywhere else in the world.

In addition to awesome bike art, we’ll be serving craft beer by Widmer Brothers Brewing in ARTCRANK pint glasses, with proceeds benefitting L.A. Streetsblog, a nonprofit news organization covering the movement to transform transportation in Los Angeles by improving conditions for pedestrians, cyclists, and transit riders.

Orange 20 and Clif Bar will be teaming up to provide bonus bike parking and bite-sized snacks. And we’ll be showing off a stunning paper bike sculpture created by L.A.’s own Nona Varnado out of the best paper in the world — Neenah Paper.

Hit the ARTCRANK LAX Facebook Event page and let us know you’re coming!

Please check back for updates, and follow ARTCRANK on Twitter and Facebook for the latest news.
