Thursday – The consultants who are working on a freeway “cap park” in Texas bring their drawings to Los Angeles in a special meeting of the “Park 101” team.  Interested?  Get the details, here.

Thursday – The Caltrans District 7 Bicycle Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public.  They next meet this Thursday in the Caltrans building at 1:00 P.M.  Meeting was moved to the 24th.  Sorry!

Thursday – The last of a trio of meetings on TOD along the Blue and Green Lines will be held at Los Angeles Trade Tech College this Thursday evening.  Get the details, here.

Saturday – The Southern California Transit Advocates hold their monthly meeting, and this month their special guest is former Massachusetts Governor and 1988 Democratic Nominee for President Michael Dukakis.  Event is free, open to the public, and announced here.

Saturday – Flying Pigeon will host a reception for Stephen Rea, author of Hollywood Rides a Bike: Cycling With the Stars on Saturday, February 18th from 7 to 10 pm at 3714 N. Figueroa ST in Highland Park. Vegetarian-friendly food and drink will be available.

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 27 when Streetsblog returns to the Library Alehouse for an all day fundraiser 11-11.  10% of all the Alehouse’s receipts for the day go to Streetsblog and we’ll have a kick butt raffle!
