The Ports Are Ours Port Ride, 3/3/11
It’s that time of the month again! That’s right, the semi monthly ride through the ports of LA and/or LB. This Thursday night we’ll be rolling through LB ports from 9pm to 3am. Why? Cause the ports are ours that night! Port traffic is shutdown for the night cause of a semi-monthly stop work meeting that the labor unions initiate. And we’re the bi-product of that stoppage!
Seeing how we’re currently in our winter season, we do have to consider rain. Right now there’s a 20% chance of rain Wednesday, nothing for Thursday. If things change, I’ll send out a email blast Wednesday night. Plan for a chilly night. Come with layers and you’ll be fine.
Come with the Blue Line if at all possible. The start will be at the HUB in LB. The HUB is located across LB Blvd at the PCH Blue Line Station. Call me if you’re lost or running late. We’ll eat around 3-4am at a waaaaaaaay cool old trucker cafe in the ports. Then if live in LA, I’ll send you on your way on the Blue Line back home at 5:00am. The end of the ride is at the PCH Blue Line station.
It’s hard to say how many miles we do cause sometimes there’s more stops than anticipated, and it’s not a race around the ports. We will be exploring alot of places, and there’s nothing that gets passed up cause of lack of time, or some other nonsense like that. We end up hitting places that would be off limits most other times cause of trucks, and/or people not knowing the area.
This ride is just popularized with this email, and you are welcomed to forward this off to someone else that maybe interested in the ride too. If you have a micro SD card, put some songs on it to share. I have a music player that lasts all night. We’ll have tuneage all night! And if you don’t bring anything to listen to, you maybe listening to my shit all night long! >:]~
