Streetsblog NELA Fundraiser w/Flying Pigeon and the Eastside Bike Club

Following the good times and good vibes of our fundraiser at the
Eco-Village, Streetsblog will be rolling into Northeast Los Angeles for
our second ever fundraiser sponsored by the Flying Pigeon L.A. and the
Eastside Bike Club. The details are still being worked out, but I can
tell you that we're going to have two parts to the June 18 fundraiser:
a ride and an after-party. We'll meet the the Flying Pigeon Bike shop
at 6:00 P.M. with kickstands up at 6:30. The ride and after party will
be $10 each or $15 for both. As always, donations are on a sliding
scale.

The ride is tentatively being dubbed the "Where the Train
Used to Go" and would follow the route used by the old Red Cars. Riders
will get a ride card, Streetsblog bike sticker and other schwag.
There's a rumor that refreshments will be following us on bike, but I'd
still bring a water bottle.

The after party will start when the
ride is over, at about 8:00. We'll have a Streetsie's presentation,
food, drink, Streetfilms and the best company to be found, uhm
Northeast of the Bike Oven. We've also received sponsorship from Luna
Bar and Trader Joe's, so the food component of the evening is coming
together!

Obviously there's a lot more details to come, but it's never too early to save the date! See you there!
