Cartoonist Keith Knight and I have a lot in common.  Neither of us is a big fan of car culture and both of us are recent transplants to Los Angeles having come from a more pedestrian friendly locale.

His most recent comic at Salon takes aim at the idea of asking taxpayers to bail out the auto industry.  After all, since the oil companies helped get them into this mess, maybe they can help get them out.

To see the rest of his comic, click through here.  Sorry, but if you're not a Salon member, you're going to have to sit through a short commercial.
