The Streetsblog house party series rolls on with a December 18th party at the house of Joel Epstein and Karen Sarachik. Just in case any of you have missed it, KPCC launched a new environmental blog last month entitled "Pacific Swell." Our old friend Siel Ju joins Molly Peterson as the head writers for the endeavor, and their coverage area and that of Streetsblog often intersect. As rumors continue to swirl that sports and entertainment giant, AEG, is getting close to releasing plans for a National Football League Stadium in Downtown Los Angeles, sides are already being drawn in what will surely be a contentious debate. LA Congressional Delegation and US DOT Voice Strong Support for 30/10 at Crenshaw Press Event
On an atypically dreary day for October, Los Angeles County’s elected representatives from every level of government gathered with community members at Leimert Park to celebrate the receipt of a $546 million loan for the Crenshaw Light Rail project.
