Friday Poll Day: Help Us Select the Next Piece of Streetsblog Schwag

Obviously, if we decide to print up messenger bags, they'll look better than this. But this gives you an idea what we're thinking of...

Last year, at our August re-launch party, we unveiled the L.A. Streetsblog t-shirts (still available here!). The shirts sold so well, that we had to go to a second printing, but as you would expect it’s started to slow a little in recent months. Thus, we decided to come up with some new schwag before the holidays roll around this year. Take the poll and tell us what you would be most likely to purchase with a Streetsblog logo on it. Are you so dedicated you would get more than one thing? With this poll you can check more than once answer.

What LASB Items would you be most likely to buy?

Once we pick a type of item, we’ll come back with another poll to get specific. For example, if we/you decide that hats are the way to go, we’ll have another poll with baseball hats, visors, beach hats, etc. for you to help us narrow it down even more.

Cartoon Tuesday, American Voices, Harassing Cyclists

|
This week, The Onion’s “American Voices” asks three average Americans their views on L.A.’s recently passed cyclist anti-harassment ordinance.  As you would expect from The Onion, the comments aren’t pretty.  Of course, these three have been answering these questions for quite some time now. But I have faith that Streetsblog readers are funnier than Onion […]

Poll: What Should Streetsblog Be Covering.

|
During our “temporary hiatus” we promised you that Streetsblog wouldn’t just be coming back, but that we would slowly start adding new features and cover more stories.  While I’m sure you all love our weekly polls, we do have some larger plans in mind. While we’re working on securing the funds to make expansion a […]

Streetsies 2010: It Was the Worst of Times

|
In many ways, 2010 was just business as usual for the all-dominating car-culture.  Politicians and the police continue to say stupid things.  Cyclists and pedestrians are still getting run down in the street with near impunity.  The Metro Board of Directors still manages to muck things up, even when the whole county overwhelmingly backed a […]
