Special Los Angeles Streetsblog Fundraiser on October 23

On October 23, Streetsblog will be holding it's 4th fundraiser at the home of Deborah Murphy in Silver Lake at 6:00 P.M.  This event is going to be different than the events we've held in the past because we're having the event professionally catered and we're requiring an RSVP.  The suggested donation for the event is $100.

Joining Murphy on the host committee are City Council President Eric Garcetti with Dale Benson, Joel Epstein, Dana Gabbard, Alfredo Hernandez, Joe Linton, Jessica Meaney, James Rojas, Carter Rubin, Beth Steckler, Valerie Watson, and Will Wright.

As our guests, you will enjoy a gourmet "StreetsCuisine" meal prepared by Cuisine in the City at a historic hilltop house designed by J.R. Davidson and R.M. Schindler with views of the Silver Lake, Northeast Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Mountains.

If you're a regular reader of Streetsblog, you've probably noticed that the website has been doing well since our "re-launch" in late August.  Advertisements are starting to appear.  Readership and comments are at record levels.  And we've even able to mix in a couple of stories every week that aren't written by myself.  But, for Streetsblog to grow into the kind of website we want it to be, then we're going to continue to need the help of our readers to do that.  So, if you're free on the 23rd, please consider joining us in the hills of Silver Lake.

RSVP's should go to Damien Newton at damien@streetsblog.org.  We'll have more information available for those planning on joining us.
