In
1970, Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson created the first “Earth Day” as
a day of awareness featuring rallies for the environment across the
country.
This year, on
the forty-first celebration of this international celebration, why not
take the time to see what you can do in your home life to
help realize Nelson’s vision of a greener, healthier planet?

Join
us on Sunday, April 4 or Sunday April 18 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.
for an Eco-Home tour to gain the knowledge you need to turn your home
into an earth-friendly Eco-Home.

In addition to some practical tips that can be done quickly around the
house, you’ll have a chance to visit our organic food garden and our
xeriscaped, drought resistant front yard.

The
Eco-Home tour is an experiential introduction to sustainable urban
living. Participants will pick up ideas for home weatherization, water
and energy conservation, solar energy and non-toxic cleaning products
that will help them make their homes greener, healthier and more cost
effective.

The
tour is conducted by Eco-Home Network, a non-profit organization
dedicated to educating the public on making lifestyle choices that
protect the environment and improve quality of life. Eco-Home is
located in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. Call 323-662-5207
for reservation and directions. Requested donation for the tour is $10
per person. Please make your reservations by the Friday before the tour.
