Eco-Home Tour

3:56 PM PDT on June 25, 2009

As Los Angeles enters another hot, dry summer; homeowners need
and want to take control of their energy and water use. Learn how, by touring Eco-Home on Sunday,
July 12 or Sunday, July 26th from 4:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. There will be no tours in August, so make
your reservation for a July tour today.

Our experienced tour guides will show you how to conserve
water inside and outside your home. You'll see a cool, shady low-water-use
sustainable front yard that used to be a high-water-use grass lawn. In addition to water conservation, you'll
learn about reducing energy costs by making your home more energy efficient.
The tour also includes the Eco-Home organic food garden and orchard, the solar
electric and hot water systems, as well as many other systems and products that
will help you turn your home into an eco-home.

The tour is conducted by Eco-Home Network, a non-profit organization
dedicated to educating the public on how to make lifestyle choices that protect
the environment and improve quality of life. The Eco-Home is located in the Los
Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. Call 323-662-5207 for reservation and
directions. Requested donation for the tour is $10 per person. Please make your reservations by the Friday
before the tour.
