Los Angeles County Bike Coalition's elections are over, and the newly constituted board will meet for the first time at LACBC's March Board Meeting. The meeting will be held at LACBC headquarters, 634 S. Spring Street in Los Angeles, at 6:45 tonight.

Of the nine positions open, five of them were filled by returning board members Erik Knutzen, Alex Kenefick, Kent Strumpell, Aaron Kirsch and Maria Gutzeit. The board will see some fresh bool as Henry Hsieh, Alex Amerri, Michael Cahn and Chet Kosttrzewa join the group.

Each of the new board members brings extensive bike advocacy experience from different parts of LA County to the board. Hsieh is actually returning to the board after serving as an LACBC staff member and board member years ago. Kostrzewa has been active with the Santa Clarita chapter of the LACBC and is currently its contact. Amerri is the founder of Ride-Arc, a monthly recreational bike ride through Los Angeles focusing on the architecture. Last but not least, Cahn is a professor of history at UCLA and an active cyclist in Santa Monica.

All board meetings are open to the public, so if you're looking to get more involved, head on down to Spring Street this evening.
