Metro and Project for Public Spaces Present an Urban Design Workshop

As part of Metro’s 2009 Call for Project, we will be hosting a Transportation Enhancements Activity workshop on Transportation and Urban Design Workshop, to help applicants develop innovative projects for Los Angeles County. Project for Public Spaces is a non-profit organization that has a long history helping communities towards transformation --by redeveloping the built environment.  They will be sharing their projects, ideas, and approaches for planning and designing transportation facilities – arterial roads, streets, bus stops, rail stations – to support community economic development goals, ensure social equity, promote mental and physical health, and to ease congestion while strengthening residential neighborhoods. See more at www.pps.org.
