Engagement Celebration and Farewell Party

for Joe Linton and Carrie Lincourt

Sunday December 16th 2012

Los Angeles Eco-Village, 117 Bimini Place, L.A. 90004(Koreatown Los Angeles, just south of the Beverly/Vermont Metro Red Line Station)

Family, friends, allies – please come celebrate with us! Carrie and Joe want you to come celebrate the great happiness we’ve found in being together. On January 1st, Joe will be departing Los Angeles to live with Carrie in Jersey City. Come spend time with Joe and Carrie and wish us well!

It’s two events in one: a bike ride and a party!

Bike Ride – gather 1:30pm, depart 2pm from L.A. Eco-Village

– Ride with us to the L.A. River and back. About 7 miles total. Slow pace, all welcome, but you’ll need a working bike. If you haven’t ridden lately, come early and we can help tune up your bike a bit.

Engagement/Farewell Party – 4pm to 7pm at L.A. Eco-Village

– Join us for snacks, drinks, music and dancing at L.A. Eco-Village

And, it’s a fundraiser, too! Joe is the president of the board of Los Angeles Streetsblog (la.streetsblog.org), a website dedicated to making Los Angeles a great place to bike, walk and ride transit. You can come and enjoy yourself without supporting Streetsblog, if you want. No pressure – but we’re suggesting a $5 donation for the bike ride (you’ll receive a spoke card designed by Joe and Carrie) and we’ll be doing a raffle and auction at the party – get your own Joe Linton artwork and/or signed books, and other great prizes!
