The latest streets and transportation news from Streetsblog L.A.

ICE agents are raiding Southern California communities, triggering protests, stand-offs, confrontations and more. SBLA Communities Editor Sahra Sulaiman rounds up the weekend’s news at today’s headlines.

In other big news, Metro opened its massive LAX Metro Transit Center last Friday, completing the initial phase of the Metro K Line. LAX now has a landmark iconic light rail station, also serving bus and bicycle – that will, in early 2026, fully connect to air terminals via the LAX people mover.

Glendora also celebrated the dedication of its new A Line station. Light rail service starts there very soon.

Lots happening in the weekly calendar.
