The Week in Livable Streets Events
There's a good amount of wonk stuff on the calendar this weekend, but it closes with a Bike Party in Santa Monica. Of course, I guess every week closes with a Bike Party. Pay special attention to the events on Wednesday.

The Week in Livable Streets Events
The calendar might look a little thin this week, but everything on the agenda is a huge event. Too bad I'm out of town.

The Week in Livable Streets Events
Wednesday - The Veggie Grill restaurants are hosting a series of CicLAvia fundraisers similar to the Streetsblog fundraiser at the Library Alehouse back in August. You can get a list of all the restaurant locations that are donating a portion of their proceeds to CicLAvia here. Also, Joe Linton and I will be hosting the event in Santa Monica because, ya know, I'm good at getting people to eat in Santa Monica.

Monday-Wednesday - The Southern California Association of Governments continues its public outreach for the upcoming regional transportation plan. Lobbying SCAG can be a little "in the weeds" but the agency helps set standards for Greenhouse Gas deductions and helps determine how some federal dollars are spent. The meeting in Downtown L.A. was last week, but there are meetings in Carson City, Santa Clara and Santa Monica this week. Get the details, here.

The Week in Livable Streets Events
It's a short week this week, which could be a sign that the summer slowdown is upon us, or that I'm about to get a lot of emails with event information. Never the less, the Transit Coalition has a nice headliner this week, Expo Construction Authority's Rick Thorpe and the last Friday of the month is Critical Mass.
