36th Congressional Election Survey: Katherine Pilot
As the race to replace Jane Harman at the Congressional Representative for California's 36th District enters its last week, we received the third response to our candidates survey. Katherine Pilot is an independent candidate from Hermosa Beach. Pilot is running as a "regular person" and contrasts her campaign with the more "professional politician" candidates such as Secretary of State Debra Bowen, L.A. City Council Woman Janice Hahn, and Redondo Beach Mayor Mike Gin.

CD 36 Candidate Survey: Marcy Winograd
When Congress Woman Jane Harman announced her resignation earlier this year, two of California's political heavyweights moved quickly to try and position themselves as the frontrunner for the suddenly vacant Congressional seat. However, many members of the 36th District were excited because they believed Harman's absence would create an opening for Marcy Winograd, a progressive candidate who had twice run spirited campaigns to unseat the billionaire incumbent. We covered Winograd's most recent effort back in October of last year.

CD 36 Candidate Survey: Matt Roozee
The first CD 36 Candidate to return our survey is independent Matt Roozee. At the heart of Roozee's bid is a belief that the government must focus on fixing the economy before working on other important issues. As Roozee states on his campaign website:
