Streetsblog LA
Thanks, Josef, for a great Streetsblog LA Fundraiser!
Friday night, Juan and I ventured out to the Flying Pigeon, a bike shop owned by livable streets activist Josef Bray-Ali in Cypress Park, a neighborhood in Northeast Los Angeles. Josef and his friends graciously hosted a fundraiser in honor of Streetsblog.

Give to Streetsblog By Thursday and You Could Win Goodies From Planet Bike
Thanks to everyone who's given to Streetsblog and Streetfilms so far in our spring pledge drive -- we're nearly a quarter of the way to our fundraising goal of $40,000. I can't emphasize enough how crucial it is for readers to chip in and help us reach our targets. Your contributions keep us going so we can deliver news and commentary about the transition to safer city streets that work for people, not cars. So keep those donations coming!

Thank You Library Alehouse…Our Next Fundraiser Is 5/11 at L.A. Eco-Village
A gigantic thanks to everyone that came out on Tuesday night. A great time was had by all and we managed to raise over 20% of the costs of our weekly Santa Monica coverage. I would be remiss if I didn't give an extra note of thanks to Cynthia Rose and Bryan Beretta of Santa Monica Spoke who went all out in both publicizing the event and helping out the night of and beyond (getting raffle winners their prizes.) I've never been happier to give away a raffle prize than when Gary drew their names out of the green monkey basket announcing their win of a Flying Pigeon Road bike.

One Week from Today, Join Los Angeles Streetsblog at the Alehouse and Check Out Our New Raffle Items
Things are getting very exciting for our March 27th all day fundraiser at the Library Alehouse. Earlier today I picked up a donation from the Big Blue Bus and got word on a donation from Bikes and Hikes L.A. Remember, if you want to support our expansion into Santa Monica, all you have to do is show up at 129 Main Street a week from today and buy something to eat or drink. I'll be there all day selling raffle tickets, t-shirts and bags, so say hello while you're there. Oh, and buy some raffle tickets, t-shirts or bags while you are there. Or the heck with me, our Santa Monica writer will be there for a lot of the evening as well.
