See You at the Alehouse
Just because I'll be away from office the rest of the day does not mean that Streetsblog is done posting. We're expecting to post two more unique stories plus the latest from Capitol Hill. Of course, I look forward to seeing you all at the Alehouse today. I'll be the one with the big sign that says, "buy raffle tickets here."

Intern for L.A. Streetsblog
If you're young, and smart, and motivated, and interested in promoting the idea that "Streets Are for People," then L.A. Streetsblog is looking for you. We have three different types of internships available designed for people of different skill sets...just because you're not a writer doesn't mean we can't work together. While we don't have the funding to offer a stipend, we will work with the winning candidates to help them earn credit with their school and understand they will require a flexible schedule.

Free Bikerowave Class: How to Fix Your Bike Even If You Don’t Know a Bottom Bracket from a Bake Cable
The Bikerowave, your local local not for profit Bicycle repair and teaching Cooperative is launching a series of classes. Have you ever wanted to learn how to put your chain back on with a stick, true a wheel with a rock, or fix your chain with a nail? Well all that and more can be taught, to anyone. If you are mechanically inclined enough to change the batteries in your remote control you can be taught to work on a bike.
We will be kicking off this awesome series of classes with a “How to ride to work/ or anywhere for that matter” class on March 18th at 3-5:30pm. The next week, March 25th we are proud to offer a “how to fix your bike even if you don’t know a bottom bracket from a brake cable” class. Again 3-5:30pm.
All classes are FREE but we have limited space. If you would like to attend please RSVP with an email to bikerowaveclasses@gmail.com with your name and the date you are attending in the subject line (that’s the bar that appears before the main body of the email) and we will save you a seat. Thanks and remember, The Bikerowave can always be contacted by phone or through our website Bikerowave.org. We are located one block east of Centinella Ave. on Venice Bl. in beautiful Mar Vista.
