After a couple of really lackluster weeks, at least event wise, we have an absolutely packed week! I mean, on Saturday the city opens its public hearings on the most recent Draft of the Bike Plan, and for many of you that won't even be one of the three most interesting events of the week?

Tuesday - Last month, Joe Linton brought you coverage of the installation of bike lanes, and a corresponding road diet, occuring on Wilbur Avenue in the Northridge-West Neighborhood in the Valley. Last week, I talked about Council Man Smith's angry reaction. But what does the neighborhood actually think? The Northridge-West Neighborhood Council meets in the Beckford Ave. Elementary School,19130 Tulsa Street Northridge at 7:00 P.M.

Those L.A. County Bike Master Plan meetings roll on. Speaking of rolling, there's a fun looking "Midnight Ridazz" event this Friday. And for those of you who are into policy, there's a surprise addition to the City Council Transportation Committee meeting (more on that later) for this Wednesday at 2:00.

The Weekend in Livable Streets Events
Because I skipped doing the "Week in Livable Streets Events," I missed writing about some of the events that are going on this weekend. In addition to the Bike to Work Week events in Pasadena, Culver City, and Glendale tomorrow; there are a couple of events this weekend that deserve a little more attention than the calendar section.

May is a crazy month to try and keep track of the calendar because it's Bike Month. This year, Glendale takes the lead for most events, with thirteen different events scheduled. I'm not going to list all of them here, but if you live near Glendale, you can see a full list of events here.
