The Week In…

A lot of big events going on in DTLA right now. This very second. Then things slow down. Then CicLAvia. Good week.

Jason Islas, our Santa Monica Next editor, has put a lot of time into making tonight's Santa Monica candidate forum a winner. This is the second time this year we've hosted a debate that will feature a future mayor after our Long Beach forum last February. Join us either at the forum or online. And that's not even the highlight of the week (unless you actually live in Santa Monica). Tomorrow night, we are sponsoring a meet and greet with Seleta Reynolds with L.A. Walks, LACBC, and the Safe Routes to Schools National Partnership.

A couple of events fighting displacement. Fun bike events. Metro Board Committee meetings. Ya know. The usual.

This might be the first week in a long time that the calendar doesn't have a bike ride (note: ride added!). Are we missing something? Let us know...

It's a short week, but the things that are on the calendar are all major events, starting with the Milt Olin advocacy ride.

This is a weird week, with a state holiday on Friday and some school districts (Culver City and more) starting up the school year. Oh, well. The Week in Livable Streets Events rolls on.

The Week in Livable Streets Events' two-week summer hiatus is over. Lots to do this week with High Speed Rail, another Seleta Reynolds public event, back to school day, feminists on wheels, AHSC funding, and a full weekend.

A mix of a hugely important Metro Board meeting, some great bike events, a Streetsie party and some news from some other Westside cities.

Usually our events calendar ends with parties. This week it starts with one. A major Metro meeting looms in the middle of the week.
