Vision Zero Safety Improvements Planned For Temple Street
Last Wednesday, the city of Los Angeles Vision Zero team held a workshop for public input on planned safety upgrades for Temple Street. At the workshop, the city Transportation Department (LADOT) shared potential plans for Temple, and received public input.

Vision Zero Aims to Improve Safety along Main, Broadway, Western, Hoover, and More in South L.A.
The focus on South L.A. is due to the high rate at which pedestrians and cyclists are killed or severely injured (KSI) in collisions with vehicles. Case in point - sixteen of the twenty-five most dangerous neighborhoods for cyclists and pedestrians called out on the map below are in South L.A.

Palos Verdes Estates Cyclists Stage Die-In Protest
Yesterday about 30 Palos Verdes bicyclists staged a peaceful protest against the inaction of the Palos Verdes Estates City Council. The event was organized by a group called Cyclists for Palos Verdes and Southern California Bike Safety. The cyclists are pushing for PVE to install five "Bikes May Use Full Lane" signs on Palos Verdes Drive West, a popular and scenic street used frequently by recreational cyclists.
