Tomorrow, at its regular monthly meeting, the Metro board of directors is expected to vote on final approvals for the 2017 Metro Bike Share expansion. In October 2016, the Metro board approved funding for bike-share expansion in three locations: Pasadena, Venice, and the Port of Los Angeles.

Late last year, Metro finished pedestrian and other safety upgrades to eight intersections along the Blue Line. The pedestrian improvements finally taking shape at the remaining 19 intersections - 12 of which are in South L.A. - have been in the works for some time and continue to prove challenging.

Metro Eastside Gold Line Alignments Finalized Before Environmental Studies
Yesterday, Metro's Planning and Programming Committee approved final project definitions for a future Eastside Gold Line extension. If approved by the full board next week, the project moves forward into procuring a consultant to do environmental clearance studies.
