The MyFigueroa! Streetscape and Protected Bike Lane Plan Moves Forward as City Council Begins Hearing the Appeal
Next week, the Los Angeles City Council will hear the formal appeal of the environmental certification of the MyFigueroa! project brought by Darryl Holter, owner of the Shammas Auto Group. But, even as the Council begins to hear the appeal, the MyFigueroa! team is preparing to put the project out to bids in February and March.

CicLAvia Announces 2014 Schedule: Wilshire Blvd., Heart of L.A. and New Route in South L.A.
CicLAvia announced the 2014 schedule of Open Streets events earlier this morning. The 2014 schedule features three events on three different routes. On April 6, the "Iconic Wilshire Boulevard" route returns, coinciding with the conclusion of the international Open Streets Conference in Los Angeles. Then after a six month wait, the "Heart of L.A." route returns on October 5. The year will end with an entirely new route through South L.A. on December 7.
