Location: AIA/LA Offices Wiltern Building 3780 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 800
Space is limited!! RSVP to will@aialosangeles.org
There is a great deal of discussion regarding Green Streets, and Complete
Streets. As part of our Green Streets/Great Streets series, we have
gathered some of the local experts on designing and implementing livable
streets so we can focus on some basic concepts and implementation tools for
making great streets. The issues of Green Streets and Complete streets are
often looked at as separate issues, however they cannot be separated. As
our panelists have already passionately stated, it’s imperative that we
look at the broad concept of Livable or Living Streets and what we should
do to advocate and implement them in our cities.
Please join us for a lively discussion.

Bike the Vote with Congresswoman Jane Harman and Assembly Candidate Betsy Butler
Bike the Beach is an exciting get-out-the-vote (GOTV) bike ride from Torrance Beach to Venice Beach celebrating two of the greatest and most important things we can do: BIKE and VOTE! We kickoff at Torrance Beach, with rally stops featuring food, information and fun at Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Playa del Rey and Venice. At the ride’s culmination in Venice, there’s an awesome party at sculptor Guy Dill’s art studio - with lots of food, mariachi, margaritas…and some feel good political speeches to get you fired up and ready to go! For people that need a ride back to the South Bay from Venice, we’ll have vans and trucks ready to take you and your bikes. Its free and fun for the whole family! Please register to help us get an accurate head count for catering purposes.
