Westside Urban Forum Friday Event: “R We There Yet”
Little more than two years ago, 68% of Los Angeles County voters approved taxing themselves to build dozens of new transit and highway projects. Almost immediately following that historic vote, several of our leaders launched an ambitious new plan – the 30/10 Initiative – to get 30 years worth of Measure R transit projects built and open in just a decade. Join the Westside Urban Forum as we explore the status of key projects and the impact of the recession on Measure R revenues. Our panelists will also delve into the risks facing the full range of projects, the status of federal funding, and what a new Congress means for the future of transit in Los Angeles.
