2011 at 7pm.We'll spend the evening discussing, noshing, drinking, being engaged, and getting informed about Engler and Mugyenyi's
class-based challenge to private automobility.

6th Annual Youth Film Series:
Please join us next Thursday, May 26th at 7:00p.m. for the 6th Annual Youth Film Festival on Social Justice. This year's theme is Unhealthy L.A.?: Is Los Angeles a healthy or unhealthy city for youth? Please come out and support local youth as they showcase their films! Student photography from Venice Arts' project Picturing Health will also be on display at the event.

Join non-profits Sustainable Streets and Grand Masters Cycling for a springtime celebration featuring bikes, beer, food, fabulous raffle prizes and complimentary bicycle valet.
Bike month is still in full swing. Meet your cycling friends at the Library Alehouse on May 24th for lunch, appetizers, dinner and drinks. The Alehouse will donate 10% of your purchase to support our work.
Between 3 and 5 pm Patrick Brady, author of No-Drop Zone, will sign his book "in the library." North Spring Street Bridge Community Meeting
The City of Los Angeles and Caltrans are studying how to improve the North Spring Street Bridge to better accommodate pedestrians, bicyclists and commuters. Every day, many of you walk, ride and drive across the bridge to get to and from work, school, recreational activities and home.
We want to hear from you! An important decision is being made about the future design of the bridge. You are invited to attend a community meeting to learn more and view the newly developed design options.
