EAST HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. (July 8, 2011) -- The East Hollywood Neighborhood Council and the East Hollywood Arts and Culture Committee announce the third annual ArtCycle, a community event designed to celebrate the arts, bicycling, public space, and sustainable living in the heart of Los Angeles. ArtCycle will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 2 - 10 p.m., on Santa Monica Blvd. between Vermont Ave. and Virgil Ave.

CicLAvia Community Bike Ride
As you may have heard, the July 10th CicLAvia has been cancelled, but that shouldn't stop anyone from riding on that day. CicLAvia will instead be hosting a community bike ride! No street closure. Description: SCI-ARC, the Southern California Institute of Architecture and METRO invite members of the community to a Neighborhood Design Workshop, exploring a more livable future via walking, biking and mass transit.
The Neighborhood Design Workshop will be orchestrated by Peter Zellner, coordinator of SCI-Arc’s Future Initiatives Urban Design post graduate program and will focus on identifying key objectives for a more transit integrated community.
