Metro Presents: The Mudbug Brass Band
Celebrate Mardi Gras at Union Station with The Mudbug Brass Band. Louisiana-rooted but Los Angeles based, the 8-piece New Orleans Jazz band is dedicated to the Second Line tradition, drawing from New Orleans traditional jazz, R&B, funk and Mardi Gras. In a Los Angeles twist on the New Orleans roving block party-like tradition, the group will lead a Second Line procession through Union Station. Break out those sashes and parasols.

"The project approvals for the new Wilshire Grand Center included $9.175 million in offsite streetscape improvements geared toward enhancing pedestrian and multi-modal access on the project's key corridor: 7th Street from the 110 freeway east to Olive Street, and the Wilshire Boulevard bridge.

Los Angeles Walks is creating a pedestrian wayfinding system called Walk This Way, LA that gives information on walking times between different destinations, to show connectivity between neighborhoods and change perceptions that many places are too far away to walk.
