Sorry, baby sizes aren't available. At least not now.

Last August at our re-launch party, we began selling Los Angeles Streetsblog t-shirts for a cool $20.  Since then, it’s come to my attention that a lot of you have a love of Streetsblog, but wardrobes that are somehow lacking.

Well, your prayers are answered.  Now you can be the proud owner of a Los Angeles Streetsblog t-shirt by ordering through our new online ordering form.  At this point, all sizes are available and if we run out of a size I’ll just order more.  If these sell well, you can expect a greater variety of Streetsblog merchandise to begin to become available.  I hear San Francisco Streetsblog has hoodies…and who doesn’t secretly want an L.A. Streetsblog pillow sham?

One quick note before you order, either these shirts shrink in the wash or I ought to let someone else do the laundry.  If I were you, I’d order a size larger than you think you need.

Cartoon Tuesday, American Voices, Harassing Cyclists

|
This week, The Onion’s “American Voices” asks three average Americans their views on L.A.’s recently passed cyclist anti-harassment ordinance.  As you would expect from The Onion, the comments aren’t pretty.  Of course, these three have been answering these questions for quite some time now. But I have faith that Streetsblog readers are funnier than Onion […]

How About a Half Dozen CicLAvias in 2011?

|
The CicLAvia team met last night to review the lessons learned from last Sunday’s amazing open street festival in Los Angeles. Apparently, the committee was as happy with the results as everyone else that attended the event because they’re hoping to program between four and six CicLAvias for 2011. One of those would mirror the […]

CicLAvia Is…En Español

|
A huge Streetsblog thank you to David Barboza, who accepted our challenge and subtitled this year’s Streetfilm on CicLAvia.  Unfortunately, we can’t embed the film with the subtitles, but if you click on the image above it will take you to the Streetfilms page for the film.  Just set the “language” in the lower left […]

Yes, You Need a License to Ride a Bike in Los Angeles

|
Recently, cyclists are finding themselves being ticketed for not having a license on their bicycle.  This has lead to outrage in the community from some, the bicycle licensing laws are meant to help recover stolen bikes not harass the people on them, and confusion from others.  It seems a lot of people don’t even know […]

Next Steps…

Photo: Alex C. Thompson Photography Friends, When I sat down with Aaron Naperstek and Mark Gorton nearly three years ago to discuss bringing Streetsblog to Los Angeles, we weren’t certain how it would work. Not only is Los Angeles a completely different beast than New York City, in so many ways, but Streetsblog isn’t your […]
