LACBC’s 2nd Annual Family Holiday Bike Ride

Join the LACBC Sunday, December 19th, for the LACBC’s 2nd Annual Family Holiday Bike Ride! Inspired by last year’s hugely successful ride, we’ll celebrate the season by cycling all around the festively lit homes in Larchmont Village and along 4th Street with Council Member Tom LaBonge. When the spirit moves us, we’ll sing some carols, and if we have all been really good and wear our helmets, Santa Claus will visit! After the ride, we’ll warm up with hot cocoa and cookies provided by Larchmont Bungalow.

We’ll be meeting at the Rotary Club Christmas Tree Lot (568 N. Larchmont Blvd.) at 4 pm on the 19th, and the festivities will continue until 7 pm.  The event is FREE and fun for the whole family! To sign up or spread the word, visit us on Facebook.

We hope to see you there!

The Week in Livable Streets Events

Weekends are so packed, and weekdays/nights are so light, that I’m starting to think we should do this on Friday’s. Two transit groups have holiday parties, a chance to give back or go caroling, Transportation Committee and more… Monday – Santa Monica city staff will present an update on the Michigan Avenue Neighborhood Greenway. The project will […]

Bike Day Saturday: LACBC’s Paleta Bicicleta

|
(It’s certainly no surprise to anyone that reads this blog, or that lives in Southern California, that this area is hardly known as a haven for bicyclists.  But, that doesn’t stop creative and dedicated cyclists from devising their own ways to make Los Angeles a bike town of our own.  This week we’ll profile four […]

The Week in Livable Streets Events

|
Right before the holiday break, it seems the number of events for activists wane as the number of events celebrating the season increase.  This week’s calendar features only one government meeting of note, the Annual Holiday of Rights, and a chance to do something about bike parking in Pico-Union (along with the parties…) Tuesday – […]

The Week in Livable Streets Events

I thought Bike Month was over. It’s a pretty bikey week. Plus, there’s a big party on Saturday in Grand Park. And, last but not least, there’s one of the biggest rides in Los Angeles happening this weekend, the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition’s River Ride. Monday – Ride Colorado!, the LACBC’s outreach effort in […]
