[1](Note: We’re taking the rest of the day off to honor President’s Day.  See you tomorrow with an update on Wilbur Avenue and more!)

Tuesday – The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) hosts a series of monthly webinars on various issues of interests to the transportation wonk in all of us.  This week’s webinar is on translating planner talk into transportation planning.  Get the details, here [2].

Tuesday – Here’s our first mega-event of the week.  The Transit Coalition hosts Art Leahy, the CEO of Metro, for an open discussion and Q and A as part of their monthly meeting at Philippe’s the Original at 6:45 P.M.  If you need directions to Phillipe’s click here [3].

Wednesday – Who wants to wake up early to go for a walk in South Park?  I do!  Being Pedestrian, which was already profiled here by James Rojas, is hosting a morning walk through South Park with a follow-up discussion following the walk.  Get the details, here [4].

Wednesday – The Los Angeles City Council Transportation Committee meets to discuss the expansion of the Arroyo Seco Parkway and reducing parking requirements for Atwater Village.  Read the agenda, here [5].

Wednesday/Thursday – Metro is back with more of its 710 conversations.  Mark Vallianatos has already previewed one of the meetings [6] for Streetsblog.  But if you want to experience the fun yourself, click here [7].

Thursday – Good news!  It’s a Metro Board of Directors meeting!  No agenda online yet, but we’ll post more details when they exist.  The meeting starts at 9:30 A.M.

Thursday – The Caltrans Bicycle Advisory Committee meets to go over several big projects.  Read the agenda, here [8].

Friday – We’re going to have a lot more on this later in the week, but there’s going to be an amazing conference on Complete Streets in the Japanese American Heritage Museum in the Downtown. Get the details, get the speakers, and learn how to register here [9].
