It isn't a hearing but instead an attempt to provide an oportunity to dialogue with electeds and key stakeholders. And thankfully by being publicized via The Source attendees might include representatives of organizations beyond those invited (at least I hope that is how it will work out).

It isn't an excuse for a parade of BRU members mouthing DOA talking points for the sake of getting media attention for your "six demands"

As to "your group represents 1 person or thousands of people"--maybe the Sierra Club could complain on that basis, but certainly not the BRU. All reports are the paid membership is far short of the thousands it often vaguely claims to have. And many transit users like myself take exception to the claims it makes to representing us.

The purpose of this event is a serious effort, not a platform for BRU grandstanding. You can either sit out the party or send a representative and be one voice among many. Your choice.

SO.CA.TA is sending Kymberleigh Richards as our representative, so at least one daily transit user will be participating.

Well according to folks who went to the Minnesota and New Orleans hearing there wasn't much room for public input or discussion from the public during the hearing. Currently they're limiting the public from attending and one can only enter the hearing if they are one of the invited organization and only one per organization whether or not your group represents 1 person or thousands of people.
