		<description>The root of the problem of walkability is a lack of density and separated land uses. It&#039;s quite right to say that these things tend to change slowly, but it&#039;s not impossible to fix the problem (especially if you move out of suburbia). Thousands of vibrant urban neighborhoods across the country today are testament to that.

Find a PART of your city that is already on the right track and build on that success. Make something to point to and say &quot;if you lived there you wouldn&#039;t need to drive to everything&quot;. There are plenty of good precedents even in a place like LA.</description>
