RT @Jessica it's not about money or technical issues - this is about priorities

Very true... and Long Beach is making bikes and peds a priority!

I too am tempted to move to Long Beach...saw Charlie Gandy present in NYC last week at Walk21 - too much good news coming out of the LBC - and crazy good leadership. As Gil Penalosa said - it's not about money or technical issues - this is about priorities

Thanks Damien! I just want to let people know that the blame for the error was definitely mine... I should've written this sooner and proof-read it better. Thanks to everyone who caught the error.

You should all bike over to Long Beach and check things out - it's really inspiring!

Cost of all of this is $15 million - which is peanuts compared to the costs of re-paving roadways and freeways.

I'm tempted to move to Long Beach now. Maybe it's enough to have a nice, bikable, community in the LA area. I'll just call it quits on LA ...

Thanks for the second update. Like I said on the last post, a lot of the really exciting stuff (besides the sharrow in Belmont Shore) seems to be going on in Downtown. I hope they expand to the Westside, Bixby Knolls, the Cal State area, and beyond.

Right, what's one letter but a totally different word. You're not going to fix that headline?

It's another allusion to your "[sic]" blog Will! What's one letter between friends? (Wrote the hypocritical guy who trashed the LA bike plan for its typos.)

Great news! You might want to re-check the spelling on your title, though. lol
