I've never owned an automobile and the reasons have simply boiled down to finances. I just cannot see me doling out hundreds of dollars simply for convenience. That is just a lazy attitude. I am also terrified of being in a fast moving vehicle and prefer the slow way to exploring my world. It is very curious to me that the car culture is so entrenched in Southern California. Sure the design of the neighborhoods to favor fast moving automobiles, but the weather is unbeatable! Why anyone want to experience the gorgeous sunshine cooped up inside is beyond me.
