The Eastside Bike Club attended this event and had a blast! It was fun and innovative. This event brought a diverse group of Angelinos that explored the South Central community and educated many of us on what goes on in that community straight from the people who live there.

We found out from Steven Box that the word KRUSH in Africa means "Embrace"

The Eastside Bike Club will be hosting the next "DISCOVER LOS ANGELES BIKE TOUR RIDE" in the near future. We are calling it the "EASTSIDE ABRAZO" Ride we will begin to plan our route and distinctive stops we will be making along this ride to show the history, culture and taste of the "EASTSIDE"

The EASTSIDE BIKE CLUB host two rides a week on Tuesday nights at 7pm and Saturday mornings at 8am. We encourage all to visit our website www.myspace.com/eastsidebikes follow us on twitter.com/eastsidebikes and to email us at bikesinla@yahoo.com to find out about all of our rides and the upcoming "EASTSIDE ABRAZO"

"How much of that $30 billion was a subsidy? It's tough to say ... "

Subsidy levels are such a critical point in the debate over transportation spending; I wish someone would come up with a definitive comparison. I suppose there might be a definitional issue, too, but to me the minimum definition is money allocated to a program that comes directly from the general fund, rather than from some fee levied on the users of the program.
