There're a couple where they would leave out small bits of the project (from Parkview to Valencia 0.7 miles at east end of project, and/or from Sepulveda to Veteran 0.3 miles at the 405 Freeway.) The interesting alternative that I really like is that they would leave the jut-outs in the Comstock Hills area, and would use the money saved to do additional repaving. This would allow repaving on nearly the entire eastern section of Wilshire - from Beverly Hills (San Vicente) to MacArthur Park (Park View.) This alternative means no street widening in the "condo canyon" area - just using existing lanes. Much better in my opinion. I attended one of the public outreach meetings today.
