Urban Expeditions presents the "Griffith Park n' Ride".
Festivities will kick-off @ the Merry-Go-Round Park Center where we'll meet the "Mayor of Griffith Park", Louis Alvarado who will speak about the park's rich history. From here, put on your Engineer's caps 'cause we'll venture to Travel Town to see the trains! Next, it's on to L.A.'s Old Zoo.
Learn about its spooky past and its famous celebrity animals while getting a feel for what it's like to be a caged animal. Kids are sure to dig the jungle-jim and so will you. To end the event, we'll return to the Merry-Go-Round for a spin (if you so desire) and an informal BYOP (bring your own picnic)!
If you're still up for more, stay for the Shakespeare in the Park happening (not part of our tour) from 3:00pm to 6:30pm located at the Upper Old Zoo on Griffith Park Dr. near the bear caves. visit: www.CICLE.org
