How discouraging to have to deal daily with a bureaucracy that is unresponsive and rude while its leadership makes supportive proclamations. Getting the police force educated is a great idea! I read the other day in an article that there is a big hoopla in the Austin Tx cycling community people calling for DIY bike lanes like in the Bicycling magazine article. The cyclist there feel that there aren't enough new bike lanes. in the article they state that Austin Texas is painting 25 miles of bike lanes this year. I would sell my first born to get L.A. 25 miles of bike lanes this year. Keep up the good work Good interview, good people doing good work.
