		<description>Interesting.  I&#039;ve traveled from Sheremetyevo  the Kazansky train station on the East side of town and back a few times.  Taking a taxi was $50 firm from Airport to train station.  From Kazansky back could be had by a Russian speaker for more like $20 if I recall.  (this was 10 years ago).  I was told that the mob fixed the rate of all fairs leaving the airport, but not at the train stations.

There is (or was) also a huge shadow economy of &#039;private&#039; taxis.  Basically you hold out your hand, wait about 2 seconds for someone to pull over, and if you&#039;re going roughly the same direction, negotiate a price.</description>
