		<description>I think Sarah needs to read some municipal code. If anything, excessively proscriptive land use laws have forced developers hand when it comes to greenfield and infill development.

I understand the politics of this &quot;why can&#039;t we be friends&quot; argument, but it is waaaay iff base with reality.

Parking, FAR, setback requirements prevent profitable non-sprawl development. Wake up lefties! Self interested land owners and developers will build whatever they can make money off of. They aren&#039;t neccessairly married to tract housing, but the R-1 zone is pervasive across the US.</description>
