I'd like to know why Carmen Trutanich, who has claimed to support enforcement of the laws against off site signs, is using these signs in his campaign?

Here's a picture of one near my home: http://tourthevalley.blogspot.com/2009/04/why-i-wont-vote-for-trutanich.html

I confess that I don't know much about the political issues here. But I do know that we don't need yet another public official with such disrespect for our neighborhoods and quality of life.

From a strictly personal standpoint, I'd really like to know why Koretz didn't provide a statement. Does he not support cycling, or just didn't feel it was worth his time?

From a broader perspective, I want to know how they plan to take the Cyclists' Bill of Rights from words to results -- especially regarding the full support of an educated police force and judiciary. Until we finally enjoy equal protection under the law, no rider will ever truly be safe on our streets.
