We need to be sure that the bicycle amenities that we lobby for not only accommodate the experienced cyclist, but also serve the beginner, the senior, the physically challenged, kids, etc.

The great thing about this approach is that it can work for local politics too.

What a great interview. It's very encouraging that CICLE has made this important step and that they are continuing to help more and more people (and the city while they're at it). I loved the story about the two people going through the process from not knowing how to ride and working their way to bike commuters. It's really nice to hear some "people" success stories in the midst of all of the slow moving progress we are making on the political side. Thanks for the story.
