Kudos to the posse who came up with this!

I can't help but be creeped way out by a huge corporation mining our thoughts on the future of cities, but they likely aren't doing much of anything but trying to find a new way to guerilla market their products.

I'm sure the next version of their Prius ads will market their cars the way Fat Tire Ale markets their beer.

Thank all of you who supported and participated in Imaginary Transportation Workshop! SiteLA was the perfect venue. The space stimulates creative energy and the wine helped stimulate conversation amongst the participants.

People want to be engaged in city visioning and this type of workshop provids them the tools to articulate their ideas in a comfortable setting. The diverse backgrounds and knowledge of the participants created very different approaches to transportation. Some participants create very elaborate systems that addressed geography, time and urban planning issues, while others created individual solutions. However there were some overall themes that everyone touched on, consciously or subconsciously. The issue of designing a transportation system to protect the environment was a theme that reappeared in many of the projects through various forms. From the monorails, trams, kites, jungle vines, participants felt the nature is important to protect. Also participants were not afraid of density and built tall structures as a way to protect the environment.

What a great event and so very needed in LA. We need to continue this kind of dialogue in order to effect the changes we envision in our city. This is the only way to create a sustainable city. Thanks, keep up the great work!
