A move like this will increase VMT which leads to higher injury and fatality rates. Not only that, it is a war on the lower class. Children whose parents' work hours are such that they cannot adjust to drive them to and from school will not have an option and I imagine (and I'm no expert here) but I imagine this is going to lead to increased drop out rates. This is another example of SoCal's war on its citizens through trapping them in their cars and keeping them from interacting with each other.
