If the LAMC section 12.21.A.14 were amended to read "C, A, and M" zones then the dodgers would have to provide 325 bicycle parking spaces (2% of their car parking spaces).

Any councilperson want to wring this alternative transit victory out of the Dodgers? We're paying for their shuttle, we should get something out of it.

I usually just lock it to one of the fences or handicap signs on the reserve level. Where are these bike racks? I dont want my baby covered in ash, and it would be especially bad if I had to watch my Dodgers lose. Personally though, I LOVE zipping through cars and pedestrians after the games, makes me feel like a true Dodger! haha

I biked up there for the LA enviro night at the Dodgers. I just locked up at a pole right in front of the gate. Security did make me check my seat, but other than that it was alright. A bit of an unwanted adrenalin rush getting out of there with zillions of cars and pedestrians going every which way in the dark, and no clear place for a bicyclist, but it was way faster/easier than trying to drive a car out of that parking lot after a game.

Amidst all the butts, smoke and ash, the stadium's bike parking exudes a "take it or leave it" stank emanating from the Dodgers front office. Coincidentally, the first time my wife and I biked up there for a game in May, the gated area was without smokers and a security guard actually opened up the barrier for us to get our bikes in. After locking up, we were ushered without a bag search through what I gullibly believed was a special gate just for cyclists, but in reality is just the smokers exit/re-entry.

I posted about the experience over at LA Metblog: http://la.metblogs.com/2008/05/23/biking-to-dodger-stadium/
