He is trying to weasel a way for &#039;Merica to keep growing its energy use (which has been what drove our constantly expanding economy for so long).

Unfortunately, the gig is up! He&#039; talking about all of this meta level crap, but the reality is that the way we occupy the landscape is now a non-starter. It simply does not work without cheap energy.
